Frozen Mushrooms

It is interesting, but frozen mushrooms may actually appear to be fresher than the fresh mushrooms you find on the shelves of the supermarkets, as they were individually quick frozen (IQF) right after harvesting. Freezing the mushrooms is another great way to preserve them saving all nutritious qualities and have these morsels handy to cook any time you wish even when they happen to be out of season

How to cook frozen mushrooms?

Frozen mushrooms are quite easy to cook as they don’t even really need to be thawed prior to cooking. Simply heat the skillet over a medium heat, melt some room-temperature butter, add your selected mushrooms, stirring them frequently, until most of the liquid has evaporated and the mushrooms have darkened in color to medium-brown. Make sure you don’t burn them – burnt mushrooms are black in colour and not tasty at all
